The Idea
We're dreaming of Mars—and then some. We’re pondering generation ships, those colossal cosmic vessels that won't just carry people, but entire cultures, traditions, and recipes out into the stars. Our job is deceptively simple: make sure humanity packs wisely. How? By first diving headlong into what makes cultures tick—exploring foodways, history, traditions, and quirks, from safaris in Rwanda and stories of the Gunggandji people in Australia, to family tables brimming with pasta in New York’s Little Italy. Because when humanity makes its next giant leap, we want astronauts to carry more than freeze-dried nutrition—we want them equipped with a hearty helping of home, seasoned with memories, identity, and priorities distilled from every corner of our beautifully diverse planet.

We’re a media company that uses food to tell cultural stories in space exploration. By connecting different cultures through the shared experience of eating, we help people from all over the world understand each other better.
We believe it’s important to include heritage plants in space food to stay connected to our roots, even when we’re far from home. That’s why we make it our mission to ensure astronauts can enjoy their favorite foods during long missions, bringing them comfort and a taste of home.
When astronauts eat familiar dishes in space, it helps people on Earth feel excited and connected, especially those who cherish the same meals. These astronauts aren’t just on a leisure trip—they’re performing a public service for the greater good of humanity.

Technology for space food and farming offers solutions for preserving food, sustainable farming in tough environments, efficient resource use, and healthy soil. It even supports climate-resilient crops and can aid in disaster relief.
